26. How to upgrade FiiO Music app?
A: From the firmware of X7-FW3.3.6/X5III-FW1.2.2/X7MKII-FW1.0.7(click here), the brand new FiiO Music app (red icon) with the new UI design and more features is released.
At present, we have allowed the individual update of FiiO Music. There will be update push for the FiiO Music.
If the FiiiO Music app is already latest, then there is no need to update it.
① Online update
After connecting to WiFi, please open the FiiO Music and wait for a few seconds, and the update notice will pop up. Click "install" to upgrade the FiiO Music directly.
If choose "Next prompt", it will skip the update for once and will pop up notice next time you open the FiiO Music app. If choose "Ignore", it will skip the update of this version.
② Manual update
a. Set the player to storage mode and connect to computer, drag the downloaded FiiO Music (.apk) to the internal storage of your player.
b. Disconnect the connection and enter ES file manager, find the FiiO Music app in internal_sd and click install.
When the FiiO Music is successfully installed, you could go to FiiO Music ->Setting->About APP->FiiO Music VX.X.X and find out the version of the app, such as FiiO Music V1.1.0.
Note: ①If your X5III/X7/X7MKII is already upgraded to the latest firmware, then the FiiO Music app will be also the latest. It is required to install the Old version FiiO Music app if you want to use ViPER Effect. The agreement of cooperation between FiiO and ViPER's Audio has expired, so we're afraid that the new version of FiiO Music will no longer have the embedded ViPER Effect plugin.
You could uninstall the current version app firstly, and download the apk file of the old version, copy it to the player, and then install it through ES File Explorer.
②How to uninstall the current version: Go to "Settings -> About device-> Kernel version", and continually tap "Kernel version" until there is the prompt to uninstall FiiO Music app. Then please reboot the device to complete the uninstallation of this app.

③：The old version FiiO Music app can be overwritten by the new one, but not the reverse.
