9. How to use the BR13 as a USB DAC for mobile phones?

Since the power supply of some mobile phones may not be enough for driving the BR13, it is not recommended to connect the BR13 to mobile phones via USB. If you do have this need, you can try the following steps for help.

The BR13 can be used as a USB DAC for mobile phones which can support up to 96K/24bit sampling rate.(Coaxial ,optical output could be upsampling up to 96kHz/24bit.)

Only USB DAC driver-free mode is supported.

  1. After turning on the BR13, short press the “IN” button to enter "USB IN" mode;

  2. Signal input: Connect the BR13 and the mobile phones via the TypeC-TypeC(For connecting Android mobile phones)/Type C-lightning(For connecting IOS devices) OTG cable(You would need to buy an extra cable first), play the songs to enjoy Hi-res music.

  3. Signal output: The BR13 supports coaxial, optical and line out output at the same time now. Use the RCA audio cable,coaxial cable or optical cable to connect the corresponding output port of BR13.

Note: The BR13 will consume the phone's power at that time.

If there is no sound after connecting to Android mobile phones, you need to pay attention to the following points:

1. Settings on apps, such as FiiO Music, there is a USB output that needs to be enabled, but some devices will have sound only with the USB output turned off.

2. Please check if the USB debugging is enabled in developer mode

You may need to open "Developer Options" in "Other Advanced Settings", and then enable the "USB Debugging" or "OTG" function

3. After the above settings are completed, you can try to re-plug the data cable, or play the track, play another track to make sure whether it is a hardware or software issue. If your issue remains, please contact our customer service to confirm whether it needs to be returned.
