 FAQ of F9

1. Why is the volume control of F9 not working on iPhone?

A: First of all, ever since iPhone 7, there are iPhones with 3.5mm headphone jack and without 3.5mm headphone jack. We could see from the trend that iPhone will directly use lightning earphones or Bluetooth earphones. And those earphones will certainly come with in-line remote control. And we will need the MFi certificate and dedicated chips from Apple to support the whole functions for the existing iPhones. Otherwise, we could only support Play/Pause for iPhones.

So far, only the F5 in-line remote control could be perfectly compatible with Android/Apple devices. And it has been authorized the MFi certificate. Our other earphones which have the remote control could only support Play/Pause with iPhone.

Besides, the previous iPhone before iPhone7 on the market are getting less and less. So our future 3.5mm in-line remote control earphones will not support the remote control on previous gen iPhones. Please kindly understand that.

2. The spec of F9
A: Please refer to the introduction on our website:
http://fiio.net/en/products/74/parameters.

3. What's the diameter of F9's conduit?
A: It's maximum diameter is 6.0mm. It's recommended to choose 5.0mm eartip if you're planning to buy foam eartip and choose 3.5-5.0mm eartip if you're planning to buy silicone eartip. Theoretically, the smaller the aperture of the eartip is, the more bass you could get, and the larger the aperture is, the better pitch you could get. PS: For reference only.

4. Does F9 comes with noise cancelling?
A: No,  F9 is not noise cancelling.

5. What's the balanced armature of F9?

A: F9's drivers are from Bellsing.

The upgraded version of F9: F9 PRO, will use the drivers from Konwles.

6. What're the materials for the F9's 3.5mm cable and 2.5mm cable?
A: 3.5mm cable uses the enamelled wire since silver-jacketed wire might cause short circuit to the in-line control.

2.5mm balanced cable uses the silver-plating oxygen-free copper core which purity is 5N.

7. What's the FiiO balanced replacement cable for F9?
A: F9 comes with MMCX connector so it could be used with FiiO RC-MMCXB.

8. Could the cable of F9 be used with other earphones?
A: F9's MMCX connector is designed to be smaller, so it could be compatible with most of the MMCX earphones on the market. Please kindly refers to the introduction of our RC-MMCXB:

9. What're the accessories of F9?

It also comes with a water-proof protection case to protect your earphones.

10. Would the cable of F9 create Microphonics?
A: Both cables with F9 are quite soft and F9 adopts over-the-ear design. So it wouldn't create microphonics.

11. Are there any tips for replacing the detachable cable?

A: Try rotating the Earphone unit before detaching the cable or after installing it; b. The earphone unit and cable should be kept in line when operating; c. Try using your fingernail to separate the cable from the earphone unit by the connecting gap.
