23. Solution for K17 OTA upgrade failure

If the OTA upgrade is interrupted by network or power failure, the OTA will be terminated.
The K17 will stuck in the “updating” interface and can not be recovered by restarting the K17.
You would need to reconnect to the same network for K17 OTA firmware update. The K17 will continue to upgrade after the interruption and restart automatically after the upgrade is completed.
If the upgrade fails and keeps stuck in “updating” and can't be recovered by restarting or reconnecting to the network, you need to use a USB flash drive to fix the problem.
1. Go to the FiiO website to download the latest MCU firmware for K17: https://forum.fiio.com/note/showNoteContent.do?id=202502271503045491606

Copy the zip package to a USB flash drive and unzip it.
2. Select “Unzip to K17_update_20250317_Vxxx”, as shown in the following picture:

3. After unzipping, click the unzipped folder and rename the folder to “K17_update_images”.
4. After that, plug the USB flash drive into the USB-A port on the back panel of the K17. Keep the K17 in power off state and hold the volume knob of the K17.
5. Turn on the AC power switch in the back panel of the K17, the K17 will be turned on and enter the “updating” state. At this time, you can release the volume knob.
6. Wait for about 10 minutes, K17 will be upgraded and reboot.
