6. How to connect QX13 to a mobile phone
[Android phones/Tablet PCs]
The QX13 can be connected to Android phones or tablet PCs via a Type-C to Type-C cable. Once connected, you can enjoy high-quality music playback.
[Notes]
1) Due to system and hardware differences in Android mobile phones or music players, some devices may encounter compatibility issues.
2) Certain mobile phones may require manually enabling the OTG function in order to work properly. Please consult your phone manufacturer’s customer support for detailed instructions.
3) Some phones may display a prompt such as “Unauthorized Type-C digital headphones.” This can be ignored, and normal usage is unaffected.
[iPhone/iPad]
The QX13 can be connected to iOS phones or iPads via a Type-C to Lightning cable or Type-C to Type-C cable. Once connected, you can enjoy high-quality music playback.
[Notes]
1) Only Apple devices running iOS 10.0.2 or above are supported. Versions below this are not compatible due to system limitations.
2) Because iPhones have restrictions on external power output and the QX13 has relatively high power consumption, playback at maximum volume may sometimes stutter or produce no sound.
Regarding issues with Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode
Due to system and hardware differences in Android mobile phones or music players, some conflicts and compatibility issues may occur under the Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode. Known issues are listed below:
1) For some phones without physical volume buttons (e.g., HUAWEI Mate30 Pro), volume can be adjusted by swiping up the playback screen to reveal the volume slider when in the Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode in the FiiO Music app.
2) Certain phones have power management policies that restrict third-party apps from running in the background. In Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode, this may cause the music app to pause playback for a few seconds after going into the background. To avoid this, manually set the app to “Allow background activity” in battery management settings.
3) When running other apps (such as WeChat, Tieba, etc.) in Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode, audio may stutter or cut out. This issue is still being optimized. For best results, it is recommended to focus on music playback when using Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode. Otherwise, please use other modes for music playback.
