15. PEQ settings about QX13
What is PEQ?
PEQ (Parametric Equalizer) is an equalizer that allows detailed adjustment of multiple parameters, including frequency bands (e.g., low, mid-low, mid-high, high), frequency points (sweepable, freely selectable), gain (boost/cut), and Q factor (bandwidth, adjustable or selectable high/low Q). It is generally used for subjective sound adjustments, making the music style more distinct and colorful, and achieving the desired listening effect.
What is the difference between PEQ and a regular EQ?
With PEQ, you can freely customize the center frequency, amplitude, and Q factor. In contrast, a regular EQ allows you to adjust amplitude only, while the frequencies and Q values are fixed by the system. Simply put, PEQ is fully customizable, while a standard EQ is system-defined. Because regular EQ presets are fixed and limited in variety, many users find that none of them fully meet their expectations. With the introduction of customizable PEQ, this issue is resolved, providing users with far greater flexibility.
