1. How to Update the firmwares for DM15 R2R?

MCU Update

Video instruction:

Prerequisites:

1.Prepare a USB drive formatted as FAT32 (capacity 32GB or less). Please note that some USB adapter or USB Hub may not be supported.

2.Download the MCU firmware package(Click here) and unzip it. Then place the MCU firmware file(DM15.bin) in the root directory of the USB drive.

MCU Upgrade Steps:

1.Connect the power cable to the "POWER IN" port and turn on the desktop mode. Insert the USB drive into the "USB IN/REC" port.Then turn on the DM15 R2R.

2.Hold the knob button to enter the menu. Scroll and press the knob to select "Upgrade" option to enter the update state.

3.The screen will display "SUCCESS" once the update is complete.

4.After the update, the device will automatically power off. Manually restart the device to power it on.

Note:

1.The current MCU firmware version can be viewed in the menu under "System info".

2.The upgrade process only takes less than 20s. If your DM15 R2R remains in the waiting state, please check whether your USB drive is compatible and whether the socket is properly plugged in.

UAC Firmware Update (Can only be updated in USB IN mode)

Video instruction:

1.Install the latest version FIIO USB DAC driver(Click here) in the Windows computer first.

2.Turn on the DM15 R2R. Push the input selector switch to "USB IN" mode and switch the USB setting option to "USB 2.0".

3.Connect the USB cable to the USB port of the computer first. Then connect the other end of the USB cable to the "USB IN/REC" port of the DM15 R2R.

4.Download the UAC firmware package(Click here) and unzip it. Then run the "UAC firmware update tool". (Please turn off the antivirus software before running the tool.)

5.Select "VID_2972&PID_0164" in the Device option.

6.Click "Load File"option to select the "UAC firmware" .

7.Click "Download" to start the firmware upgrade.

Note:

1.If the "VID_2972&PID_0164" is not shown in Device option, please make sure that the FIIO USB DAC driver has been installed(Click here) or try other USB ports in the computer.

2.Please do not disconnect the USB connection or shake the USB cable before finishing update. Keep the normal USB connection in order to avoid the firmware update failure because of poor contact.

3.If the firmware update fails, please restart the DM15 and select the device to update again.

CD Firmware Update (Can only be updated in CD IN mode)

Prerequisites:

Prepare a USB drive formatted as FAT32 (capacity 32GB or less).

Download the update firmware file and extract it (a file in updata.cdp format). Place the firmware file in the root directory of the USB drive.

Steps:

1.Push the input selector switch to CD IN mode.

2.Insert the USB drive into the "USB IN" port and connect the power cable to the "POWER IN" port. Then turn on the desktop mode.

3.Open the disc tray door. Press and hold the "Play/Pause" button to enter the update process.

4.The screen will display "UPD OK" once the update is complete.
