3. What should I do if the Air Link does not work normally?
1. What should I do if the indicator does not light up and Air Link cannot be recognized?
A: Generally no sound, not recognizing problems are caused by poor connection. You can disconnect the Air Link from the device, then replug it to use again.
2.The Air Link shows that a device is connected, but it is not the device I want to connect, what should I do?
A: You can re-pair the device by pressing and holding the button to enter forced pairing mode, Or clear the current pairing via FIIO Control and then manually select the device you want to connect. Or move away from other receiving devices, re-plug the Air Link and keep the device you want to connect closer to the Air Link.
3.The light does not light up corresponding colour according to the connected Bluetooth code?
A: If the light does not light up corresponding colour according to the connected Bluetooth code, please make sure that the Bluetooth code format you want to use has been enabled for Air Link in FIIO Control APP first. Besides, please check whether the receiving device supports that Bluetooth code.
4.Why can't I connect Air Link to the FiiO Control APP?
Android phones: Try refreshing the app, clear the Air Link pairing on the interface, or unplug and reconnect the Air Link.
iOS phones: Ensure Bluetooth is turned on and the Air Link is in pairing mode (red and blue indicator light flashing). If it still cannot connect, check the Bluetooth list to see if the Air Link is already paired. Clear the pairing, close the app from the background, unplug and reconnect the Air Link, and try the process again.
5.About the Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode
Due to system and hardware differences of certain Android mobile phones, there may be some permission conflicts and compatibility issues when they are working in the Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode. Here are some situations we have noticed.
For some mobile phones, third-party apps are forbidden in the background by default in their power management policies. This will cause a stop on the playback after a few seconds when the music app is working in the Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode. If it happens, please set the app to stay working while asleep in the battery management setting of the mobile phone.
6.The Air Link may disconnect when connecting to some LDAC receiver? Or there are some noises?
Currently, Air Link supports the highest bit rate (96kHz 24Bit 990kbps) for LDAC transmission by default.
-
Since it is the highest bit rate transmission, the transmission process is demanding on the environment and equipment, and it is easy to be interfered during transmission. If you put the device into a pocket or a serious environment with 2.4G interference, it is possible to have disconnection and noise.
-
As far as we know, the transmission distance and quality of many LDAC receiving devices are not particularly good when using in LDAC high bit rate transmission, . This is another reason for disconnection and noise problem.
So it is recommended to use the LDAC Bluetooth codec in a better environment.
7. The Type-C ports on computers are usually placed close together, which may cause interference when inserting the Air Link. How can this be resolved?
The Air Link was primarily designed to meet the needs of iPhone users, hence its symmetrical central structure. For laptop-related issues, using an extension cable is recommended.
8. Why isn't a Lightning version available?
A Lightning version has not been developed yet due to MFi certification requirements and potential compatibility issues.
However, users can purchase a functional Lightning-to-Type-C adapter with data transfer capabilities to use the device. For example: Click
