13. DISC System Settings Description

1.Working Mode

Pure Music Mode:Player mode for local music playback.

USB DAC Mode:Use DISC as a USB DAC/headphone amplifier to decode audio sources from a computer or phone.

USB AUDIO Mode:Use DISC as a digital transport. The Type-C port outputs a digital audio signal to a downstream DAC.

Storage Mode:Connect to a computer for file transfer. Enter this mode to copy files.

 

2.System Settings

Optimized Battery Charging: When enabled, charging stops automatically at 80% battery to help extend long-term battery health.

Brightness: Adjust the display screen brightness.

Screen-off Time: Set the delay before the screen turns off when inactive. Options range from 30 seconds to 30 minutes.

Screen Rotation: Rotate the screen display to suit different usage scenarios. Options: 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees.

Sleep Timer: The DISC will automatically power off when the set duration of playback elapses. Can be set between 10 and 120 minutes.

Auto Power-off: The DISC will automatically power off after a set period of inactivity (no playback or user input). Any operation restarts the timer. Can be set between 5 and 120 minutes.

Playback Theme: Select themes such as Full-screen Cover, Vinyl Style, etc.

Lock Screen Theme: Multiple themes available: Clock, FiiO Goat, Ethereal, Starry Sea, etc.

Time & Date: Set the clock and date. Can be set to update automatically.

Language Options: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English.

System Update: Supports online updates and local firmware updates.

Restore Factory Settings: Resets all DISC settings to default. The firmware version will not be downgraded.

Device Information: View device version information, etc.

 

3.WIFI

Turn on to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Note: DISC only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. If a network is not found, try a different network or try disabling the "merged 2.4G/5G" SSID feature on your router to create separate network names.

Note: When using a phone's mobile hotspot, if it is not found, enable "Maximize Compatibility" (or similar) in the hotspot settings.

 

4.Bluetooth

Turn on to connect to Bluetooth receiving devices such as headphones or DAC/amps.

 

5.Playback Settings

Play Mode: Five modes available: Play in order, Shuffle, Single Repeat, List Repeat, Play Once.

Resume Mode:

Position: Resume playback from the last position in the track.

Track: Resume playback from the beginning of the last played track.

Volume Limit: Set the maximum allowed volume level to prevent excessively loud playback

 

6.Audio Settings

Gain: Low / High gain settings.

Bluetooth Codec: AAC, SBC, LDAC Connect Priority, LDAC Balanced (Quality/Bitrate), LDAC Quality Priority.

SPDIF:When enabled, the 3.5 mm port outputs coaxial digital audio.

Equalizer: 10 presets: Jazz, Rock, R&B, HIP-HOP, Pop, Dance, Classical, Vintage, Sibilance Reduction 1, Sibilance Reduction 2.

Digital Filter: Selectable filter types for the DAC.

Channel Balance: Adjust the relative volume level between the left and right channels.

DRE (Dynamic Range Enhancement): Enhances audio dynamic range when enabled; disabling reduces distortion or coloration.

 

7.Update Music Library

Can be set to update automatically. If some songs are not recognized, you can manually select "Update Now" to refresh the library. If issues persist, please contact FiiO customer support for further assistance.
