6. How to upgrade firmware for M33 R2R?
M33 R2R supports two upgrade methods: online upgrade and local upgrade
1. Online Upgrade
Connect WiFi If a new version is detected, it will prompt the new version to update in the notification bar. Click to enter the update page.
, you can also go to the "Technical Support-Firmware Upgrade-Online Upgrade" page and manually click Check for Updates to confirm whether there is a new version.
2. Local Upgrade
download the firmware from official website and copy it to the machine's built-in storage or TF card, enter from technical support, click firmware upgrade-local upgrade-find the downloaded upgrade firmware package-click to upgrade.

1. Firmware package does not need to be decompressed
2. Please ensure that M33 R2R has sufficient power (>30%) before upgrading to avoid upgrading failure;
3. If the upgrade occurs in factory mode and the firmware cannot be detected, it may be that the firmware is damaged. Press the power-on key to confirm, select reboot to restart, and then download the firmware again and copy it to the machine for upgrading.
[Possible Problems and Solutions in Upgrade]]
upgrade process takes about 5-20min. After the upgrade, the system will automatically restart for about 2min. Please wait patiently.
1. After upgrading, the system is stuck and cannot be started normally. Forced restart: Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the "FiiO" logo appears on the screen afterwards.
2. If you are upgrading online and prompt invalid image, you can delete this folder under the built-in storage-android-data-com.android.fiioupdate-files, and then try to upgrade online again.
3. If the online upgrade fails, you can try the local upgrade. If the local upgrade fails, it may be that the installation package copy or download is damaged. Download again and try the local upgrade again.
4. If the upgrade occurs in factory mode and the firmware cannot be detected, it may be that the firmware is damaged. Press the power-on key to confirm. After selecting reboot to restart, download the firmware again and copy it to the machine for upgrading.
5. In case of system error, you can restart in factory mode:
the shutdown state, press and hold the volume down key at the same time, and then plug in the USB data cable to supply power (or press the power key) until entering the fastboot mode and then release it. Press the volume up/down key to switch to the factory (recovery) mode. Press the power key to confirm and the system will restart to enter the recovery mode.
At this time, select Wipe data/factory reset to restore the factory settings, and select reboot system now to restart the machine.
