Is the battery life of the EH13 significantly shorter in AUX input mode compared to other modes—only about 18 hours with ANC on?
The EH13 is designed to allow for EQ adjustment even when using the AUX input; the audio signature remains consistent with that of the Bluetooth mode. In terms of hardware, this configurationuses an additional ADC chip, which consumes a substantial amount of power during operation. As a result, the battery life is shorter in this mode.

VI. How to connect the EH13 to two devices at the same time?
After the EH13 is connected to the first device, disconnect the Bluetooth to enter pairing mode; on the second device, manually search for “FIIO EH13” and connect. Once connected, reconnect the Bluetooth of the first device.
How to switch between two Bluetooth transmitting devices?
After pausing playback on device A, simply click play on device B to switch the connection.
VII. EH13 wired input instructions
Can the 3.5mm audio input be used by simply plugging it in?
No, the 3.5mm audio input cannot be used by simply plugging it in; the device must be powered on to function.
Plugging in a 3.5mm cable will automatically switch the device to 3.5mm input mode, while unplugging it will switch it back to Bluetooth mode.
When using the 3.5mm input, will there be current noise if I connect an adapter to charge the device while listening to music?
Yes, this situation may occur; it is usually caused by a floating ground voltage. It is recommended to try a different adapter or contact customer service for further assistance.
VIII. How to set up the EH13 via the FiiO Control app?
To configure the EH13 using the FiiO Control app, please follow these steps:
(1) Install the FiiO Control app on your phone and update it to the latest version: Click here
(2) Connect the EH13 to your phone via Bluetooth, then open the FiiO Control app. Click “Add a new device” – “Bluetooth Device” option, find the EH13 and tap to connect. Once connected successfully, you will enter the EH13 control page.
IX. What materials are used for the EH13?
The EH13 features a closed-back design with a plastic housing—is it prone to scratches?
Due to cost considerations, the EH13's housing is constructed from raw plastic material and has not undergone any surface painting or finishing treatments. Consequently, its scratch resistance is relatively low. There is a risk of scratches during use, so please take care to protect the device.
X. EH13 noise cancellation & microphone instructions
How effective is the EH13's noise cancellation?
The EH13 uses a hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) system with feedforward and feedback microphones. Each earcup has two dedicated ANC microphones (feedforward + feedback), allowing for a noise reduction depth of up to 42dB.
How should I handle wind noise or ear pressure while using the EH13's noise cancellation?
You can download the FiiO Control app and adjust the noise reduction depth to different levels:
Level 1: Reduces wind noise.
Level 2: Alleviates ear pressure.
Level 3: Provides the deepest level of noise cancellation, though it may result in the highest ear pressure.
Microphone for calls
In addition to the four noise-canceling microphones, there is one dedicated separate microphone for calls. During normal calls, the EH13 uses its built-in microphone; however, please note that compatibility issues with specific third-party apps may occasionally prevent them from accessing the EH13's microphone. This depends on the compatibility settings and implementation within the specific app being used.
The microphone call function is not supported when the device is used in wired mode.
XI. EH13 earpads & wearing instructions
What material are the EH13 earpads made of? Will they feel stuffy or hot while wearing them? Is there an initial odor when unboxing?
The EH13 earpads are made of protein leather. This material may feel slightly stuffy and may cause sweating during extended use.
It is normal for the product to have a faint odor upon receipt.
How to remove the EH13 earpads?
The EH13 earpads are detachable, but they are not designed to be user-replaceable. Frequent removal is not recommended.
Removal method:
Hold the earcup with one hand, then grasp the earpad with the other hand and rotate it counterclockwise to detach.
Will the EH13 cause ear pain after wearing it for an extended period? Can it be worn while wearing glasses?
The EH13 weighs only 280g with a measured clamping force of 580g. The earpads feature wide and deep edges, providing excellent protection and comfort for the ears. Wearing glasses barely affects wearing comfort or sound quality.
XII. What is the tuning style of EH13?
The EH13 has a mid-to-low-frequency emphasis, delivering a warm and popular-style tuning. Vocals come through with noticeable thickness, magnetic quality and emotional expression. The bass response offers a moderate quantity—present but never overpowering or "boomy"—thereby ensuring a balanced energy distribution across the treble, midrange, and bass frequencies. The headphones also excel in the resolution and separation of metallic instruments, delivering a sound that is both crisp and non-fatiguing.
