FiiO M33 R2R Digital Audio Player

The FiiO M33 R2R DAP is a winner all around. In terms of quality of construction, screen quality, wide feature set, and most importantly, sound quality, I’ve never heard better. Amazingly, it’s not FiiO’s top-of-the-line player, which is the M27 at $1799 U.S. I haven’t heard that DAP yet, and reports are positive. It has even more expensive materials for its case and controls, but I am completely satisfied with the sound of the M33. You can have a precise, analytical sound or a warmer, analog type of sound. In both cases, there is plenty of micro detail, and you’ll want really high-quality recordings to listen to. The R2R technology here is excellent, and it appears to make a big contribution to the sound of the M33.
