8. Can CLASS A be used vertically?

Yes. Place it with the right side of the unit (the headphone-jack side) facing up, because the main heat source—the amplifier circuit—is on the right.

Also note that the area on the bottom marked with a high-temperature symbol is the heatsink. Orient that area so it is not easily touched, to avoid burns.
