In the current poor environment and chaotic supply chain, Feiao will certainly be affected. For example, under the condition that all portable players have been discontinued for several months, Feiao's headset product line has become Feiao's main attack direction, and there are many Bluetooth portable devices and emerging desktops.

M17 is the latest flagship model of Feiao portable player (Taiwan machine?), and it is also the first single product in Feiao's entire product line in more than ten years to exceed 10,000 yuan. My expectation for this 10,000-yuan product can be said to have started in 2018. At that time, Feiao had just abandoned X and switched to M as the naming rule for portable players. M7, M9 and M6 were released one after another. During this period, I got some information that Feiao was importing a higher-performance Android master Samsung 7872 and the M11 to be released soon, and it is expected to be used on the 10,000-yuan flagship (the model is, at that time, I guessed it was MX), and then I often discussed some ideas with my friends that I didn't have, and I often argued about some different views.

, but the reality is that Samsung 7872 only used M15. Finally, a series of models of this platform had to be discontinued due to shortage of goods. However, 7872 really could not afford the configuration of the flagship of RMB 10,000 required by Feiao. Then it was time for Qualcomm to 660 the platform. According to Feiao's official timeline, M17 was a project established in 2019, which was overturned and restarted due to AK4499 shutdown, the prototype was developed in February 2021 and sent to iFi for industrial design evaluation (the machine picture was exposed). M17 is Feiao's first flagship machine with a price of 10,000 yuan. In fact, the packaging of the machine is not luxurious. The outer layer is a carton for transportation, which contains two color boxes. In one color box, there is a heat dissipation bracket that makes me seriously suspect that it is only packaged separately to make the transportation box larger. In the other color box is M17. The machine can be seen by simply opening the flip cover, although the packaging of M17, however, the standard accessories of M17 are still very rich and practical. For example, when the machine leaves the factory, it is pasted with toughened film and covered with real leather covers. There are also several large interfaces equipped with dust plugs and heat dissipation supports that satisfy me most.

M17 still weighs 610 grams without using stainless steel or brass as the shell material, which means that the internal design density of M17 is indeed solid, unlike some machines that rely on the shell material to increase weight. This kind of weight and volume player is actually difficult to take with you, so the so-called portability of M17 is more of a mobile attribute similar to those heavy game books, just like you need to use different postures in different rooms in your own home to let you hear the sound of the desktop level as much as possible without letting you listen to music in one place.

M17 can be described as abnormal, especially in DC power supply mode, it has reached a terrorist output of 32 impedance load 3W. However, does a player with portable properties need such a large output? My idea is that M17 in DC mode is a reduced desktop computer. Of course, the larger the output is, the better, even if it is a small earphone, abundant power reserve redundancy also has a very obvious improvement on sound performance. Of course, the output power of M17 will decrease when the battery is powered, but it is also much larger than the M15 before Feiao. Otherwise, the huge 9200mAh battery will not only provide 8 hours of balanced output endurance.

, when Feiao calls M17 a portable machine, it basically abandons some portable player experiences, such as huge volume and weight, and the heat of holding hands is also something that many people cannot stand. However, I am very surprised by the improvement in sound brought about. M17 may not be a commuting player, but if your usage scenario can fit M17, a portable machine, that experience will be much more convenient than a real desktop.

Since M17 is a desktop product, the interface is quite rich. After the "adult's choice" M11, Feiao has taken 2.5mm, 3.5mm and 4.4mm as standard. This time, a 6.35mm interface has been added to the top. At the bottom, there are two Type-C and a standard RCA coaxial interface. On the other hand, the reason why M17 is called a portable machine is the DC power interface, with 12V power supply, my first thought after I first saw this interface was that M17 could use linear power supply, although Feiao had already come standard with a switching power adapter in the packing box. I have held both Feiao M15 and M11Pro before. Although M15 has obvious quality advantages, I am still willing to listen to M11Pro, because I like the whole sound of M11Pro, which does not feel pressure or squeeze in any frequency band, nor does it feel stretch. This is also the style of THX AAA ear placement technology. M15 does not use TXH AAA ear placement technology, but the quality is enough to support the sound, it can be said that the performance was very good.

now I am double-wielding M17 and M11Plus, but the difference between the two groups is that I am not willing to listen to the M11Plus now, because although the M11Plus also uses THX AAA ear placement technology, I said in the previous evaluation that the volume curve of the M11Plus is different from that of the M11Pro, and there is some feeling of forcibly raising the gain, but M11Plus this adjustment obviously feels that the quality has not kept up with the change of style, so it sounds a bit strange. THX AAA alone has some buried features, but M17 is completely different.

The first impression of M17 sound is that it is natural and full and calm. I have never heard of a machine with this feeling before. In particular, the M17 high-frequency energy sense is too good. With very good high-frequency extension, the high-frequency performance can definitely be described as gorgeous. This is also the most prominent horizontal performance in the M17 three-frequency. The M17 medium frequency position is not abnormally narrowed and distended, and the vocal position is, the human voice is very energetic and not inflexible, nor does it have a plastic feeling like the human voice under some players. The low frequency is relatively not gorgeous in M17, but it is also relative to the high frequency. The low frequency atmosphere of M17 is very good, the elasticity is very good, the dive is not too deep, and the overall low frequency is the feeling that it is not too slow.

On the whole, M17 has very good sound density without squeezing any frequency band, abundant sound power, full momentum, very good dynamic performance, large and regular sound field and will not make people feel empty. Moreover, this time Feiao did not pull the volume curve like M11Plus. M17 is probably the kind of machine whose quality has come to all tuning, although it is impossible without adjustment. The above are all performances under battery power supply. In DC mode, because the power supply quality of switching power supply is not as good as that of battery, although the output is further improved in DC mode, the smoothness of high frequency is decreased and the whole is relatively dry. Then the DC mode under the linear power supply is obviously larger than the battery mode driving capability, and the driving capability of the big ear is better, which is manifested as fuller sound, better density, further enhancement of dynamics, improvement of the clarity of the low frequency edge, and the rough performance of the high frequency under the switching power supply, so the DC mode wiring power supply is completely necessary.

M17 is completely leapfrog for the players before Feiao, which means to reduce the dimension. There is a saying that the volume of portable players that can be held in one hand is basically proportional to the sound level. This is fully reflected on M17, and this is fully reflected on M17. It is hard to imagine that the level of M17 can be reached by adding 3000 to the pricing of M15, the pricing of M17 is clearly contrary to marginal effects. It can be said that the pricing of Feiao products really has the style of HIFI price butcher, and in the past two years, it has become more "not to speak of martial arts". At a time when the price of components is generally rising and the delivery time is lengthened, Feiao can still make me overestimate the pricing of its upcoming products.
